Social Responsibility for Sustainable Education: 3rd Sustainability Roundtable!

On Saturday, February 28, we hosted the third in our sustainability roundtable series at our Çamlıca Campus under the theme “Building Social Responsibility–Focused Schools for Sustainable Education.”

During this gathering, which brought together educators and school leaders from various institutions, we explored how schools can transform with a vision that prioritizes not only academic excellence but also social responsibility. Following the sharing of Eyüboğlu’s sustainability and social responsibility framework, our guest speaker Maya GALIMIDI presented global perspectives that move the future of education beyond exam-focused structures toward a socially responsible paradigm.

In the afternoon workshop session, our IB DP students presented their social responsibility and SDG-focused projects. Together, we discussed how student-led initiatives can evolve from school-based practices into more scalable and sustainable models. We look forward to bringing students from participating schools together again at our Sustainability and Ethics Summit, which we have been organizing for the past two years, to continue amplifying youth voice and leadership in sustainability.

This meaningful gathering provided a productive platform that deepened our shared understanding of ethical responsibility, sustainability, and student leadership in education. We extend our sincere thanks to our guest speaker Maya GALIMIDI and to all contributing educators.
